The Regency: Auraria's Student Housing Community Welcomes Parents
We are very excited that your son or daughter has chosen The Regency and will be living in our community this year. Knowing the continued importance of your role, we've created these notes to assist in guiding, as well as informing, the resident and their family.
The Regency offers a variety of programs and activities each month for residents to get to know other residents and socialize. These events are advertised throughout the building on posters, signs, newsletters and flyers, and Facebook. Additionally, your students' Community Assistant is an excellent resource for information and events both on campus and within The Regency community.
Each floor or floor area is assigned a specific Community Assistant. The primary role of these student staff members is to build community and enforce policy. They are a great resource for your son or daughter and can help with any concerns or questions that residents may have. Additionally, there is a CA on Duty within the building 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your student can call them for any concerns about their room, noise or after hour concerns.
Moving into a student housing community is a big deal for students. Even the most outgoing and excited student will have some adjustment issues to life at The Regency. Encourage your student to get involved, meet others and make good choices about life on their own. If your student chooses to live with a roommate, there are going to be some adjustment issues. Encourage your student to practice healthy communication with their new roommate. If unsolvable issues arise with a roommate, your student can speak with their Community Assistant or with the Director of Student Life.
Rent is due the 1st of the month every month.
Your payment schedule is detailed in your lease. If you are on a month-to-month payment schedule, your payment is due on the 1st of every month. If your payment is received late or incomplete, a late fee of 15% of the monthly rate is assessed. If rent is not received by the close of business on the 3rd of each month, the meal plan will be suspended until brought current.
Meal plans paid after the due date, will be activated the following business day.

Phone – You can also call the accounting office from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm to make a credit card payment by phone.
Important to note:
Rent checks should be made payable to The Regency.
Meal Plan payments should be made payable to Denver Dining Services, Inc.
Unfortunately, we do not offer family housing. The requirement for housing is that each resident be at least a part time college student.
There is sometimes some confusion regarding funding for off-campus student housing. Payment made to the school or through any other agency does not get transferred to your Regency account. Therefore, it is the tenant’s responsibility to make sure payment is made directly to The Regency.
Bed Bath & Beyond, Walmart, Target and a variety of grocery stores are all located a short distance from The Regency.
