Hello, My name is Catherine and I am just writing to you to express how helpful our tour was. I got your email off the Regency homepage. My daughter has been out of school for a while and we have been trying to get her to go back. We recently took a tour a few weeks ago and we loved how helpful the tour was. Stacy gave us the tour, and she did a wonderful job. Thanks to the tour my daughter has decided to apply to The Regency and go back to school!

When it came time for our daughter to leave home, we, like most parents, were concerned about how she would manage on her own. Would she be safe, eat well, have support, friends and assistance? When she decided to attend Metro State on the Auraria campus, she was given the opportunity to move into The Regency student housing. We have been thrilled with the living arrangements and administration. The Community Assistants have been like family to her. The facilities are awesome with a volleyball court, gym, movie room and nice furnishings. I wish I had such a nice dorm room when I was in college with a private bath! It feels like a nice hotel (which it was originally). She has made good friends and has support when needed. We know that rules are enforced and are so glad there is an operating security gate around the perimeter. She even likes the cafeteria food! I am able to visit regularly and feel very comfortable. My husband and I have been able to breathe a little easier as our daughter makes her transition into independent living. ”

When my son graduated high school in Chicago, I had made plans to relocate to Denver. He decided that he wanted to be closer to me and began his higher education studies at the Auraria Campus. A valuable part of the college experience is learning to live on your own. In addition to training the next generation to enter the work force, college also functions as our nation’s largest transitional living program for young adults. It is an opportunity to live independently – usually for the first time -- in a supported environment. As a parent, my criteria in selecting an appropriate setting were affordability, safety and community. The Regency exceeded all of those standards. The Regency has not only eased my son’s transition to higher education, but it has been a valuable component in providing him with a complete higher education experience.

It is dorm living with an apartment feel. Alex has her own room and feels like she is very much on her own. The bus that runs between Metro and the Regency is great and saves on parking. The secure parking area is also a bonus. The cafeteria on-site is also a plus and offers a bit more variety than eating in your room or on campus.

This is my daughter's first year living at The Regency. It really is great with a laundry room, gym, dining hall and so many other things all in the same building. It makes it so easy for students to do everything they need to do in one place. As a parent, I love it. I know she is safe, with gated parking and someone on duty in the lobby at all times. I'm very glad we made the decision to have her live at The Regency.
